Alrighty.... This year, the Hammond High School music department went to Virginia. We went to Busch Gardens, VA Beach, and Williamsburg. It was pretty fun. Some things were better than last year, but there were some things about last year that were better too.
Anyway, the orchestra won second place, and that was cool. Symphonic Band got first place and overall. Heh, they definitely deserved it. I think Concert Band did the same, but I'm not sure. Chorus got some awards, and so did jazz band. But best of all... We got the Espree de Corps! SWEET!!!! That's the "behavior" award, or whatever. That was totally kickass.
Only the HHS music nerds will appreciate this, so... Don't complain if you're not "one of us." Haha.
